Greenville, Maine WEATHER

GREENVILLE – For Remax owners Jim and Charlie Quimby, it’s not “Welcome” to the Moosehead Region but rather, “Welcome back!” The husband-and-wife team first started their real estate journey in the former Century 21 office on the hill in 2010. The couple owned a store in Cambridge, Maine, and sought the help of David Dunn when they decided to sell. As it turned out, Charlie did most of the showings and David recognized her natural talent for selling real estate. It was something she had never considered before, but she talked with Jim, took the class and, in 2005, got her real estate license.

Five years later, Jim followed suit. Prior to earning his real estate license, he was working as a mortgage broker. He says he was “still in the business, but on the other side of it.” Real estate was appealing because, according to Jim, mortgage brokering was just “too much paperwork.” Reading between the lines, I think it’s because the couple’s real passion is working with people to help them, “Live Maine Live Better.” It shows.

After moving on from Century 21, Jim and Charlie worked out of a Bangor office for close to 10 years. Eventually, Jim and Charlie signed with Remax and took a giant leap: on April 28, 2020, right at the start of the pandemic, they opened their own Remax office in Dexter, Maine. With all the unknowns, it was a scary decision, but everything was already in place and they decided to, “Go big or go home.”

Often, with big risk comes big reward. Thankfully, things worked out for Jim and Charlie in Dexter. Their business has been growing steadily every year since 2020. So much so, they are celebrating the Grand Opening of their new Greenville office on November 22nd. From 4-6 pm, refreshments will be served and visitors can look forward to giveaways and good company. Though this office is new to Jim and Charlie, they’ve been selling real estate in the Greenville area for over 20 years.

Why choose Remax when it comes to one of the biggest investments of your life? Talking to Jim and Charlie, the answer is clear: the personal relationship they form with their employees and their clients. Charlie says, “Nobody works for us; everyone works with us.” As for clients, Jim and Charlie realize it’s, “Not just the money aspect, but the emotional aspect. [You] need to take care of both.” It’s hard to do that online, which is why you’ll always find someone in the office.

Every detail of the Remax experience is tailored towards client needs, including the kids’ table and toys in their offices. As parents and proud grandparents, Jim and Charlie’s agency, “prides itself on being a close-knit family of friendly, professional agents. We understand the unique qualities that make our neighborhoods feel like home, fostering connections that transcend traditional client-agent relationships. Whether you’re looking to buy or sell a home, our team of experts is dedicated to providing personalized service and comprehensive insights tailored to your needs.”

If you’re not in the market to buy or sell at the moment, stop by the Open House and introduce yourself. Jim and Charlie prioritize being part of our community over making a quick sale. Welcome back, Jim and Charlie!
