Purpleville 2026 Celebrates Community, Joy, and Solidarity in Greenville
Greenville, Maine — Purpleville 2026 concluded this weekend after three days of community celebration, local creativity, and fundraising in support of Pine Tree Hospice and the JAX Center for Alzheimer’s & Dementia Research.
Residents, visitors, and partners from across the Moosehead region came together for a vibrant weekend filled with connection, fun, and purpose. Throughout the event, approximately 150 attendees participated in activities ranging from the ATV Scavenger Hunt for a Cure to family‑friendly games, live music, local business events, and community gatherings.
Early estimates indicate that Purpleville raised more than $15,000 to support families affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia and to advance research efforts in Maine and beyond.
“Purpleville continues to show what a small town can do when we come together,” said Katie Bridges, “Mayor” of Purpleville. “One of my favorite moments was seeing Oakley sing the National Anthem as her family- including her newborn baby brother, watched on. It brought me to tears and was a powerful reminder of the incredible talent that is part of this community and why preserving memories is so important.”
Local businesses, volunteers, and families played a central role in making Purpleville 2026 a success. The weekend highlighted Greenville’s commitment and leadership in supporting those impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia. P
Purpleville will return June 25-27, 2027 with continued dedication to spreading joy, strengthening community bonds, and raising funds for to benefit people impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
